Game 12 Preview: Flyers vs Bruins

Everything was looking up for the Flyers on Wednesday. Even after a slow start, they were able to get out to a 3-1 lead with eight minutes left in the 3rd period. Everything began to unravel from there as the team began taking undisciplined penalties. The Bruins tied the game with 15 seconds left and even had a powerplay carry over into overtime, where they quickly buried the Flyers.

There's no need to hit the panic button yet since the team is 7-2-2 and is tied at the top of the East Division. Still, it's easy to begin to wonder how that one lost point (and the two additional points for Boston) will affect the standings later in the season.

The Flyers will be hitting the halfway point of their games played against Boston tonight. They currently stand with a 0-1-2 record against them, so if they want to remain at the top of the standings they are going to have to prove they can play a full 60 minutes against one of the top teams in their division.
