Game 13 Preview: Flyers at Capitals
Two different times the Flyers had the Boston Bruins on the ropes, and both times they choked the game away. Instead of potentially having four points against a tough opponent they came out of the mini-series with just a single point. Meanwhile, the Bruins ended up with those four points that could prove to be crucial by the time the regular season wraps up.
The team will have to put that mess behind them and focus on their two-game set with the Washington Capitals, who are just one point behind the Flyers in the standings (6-2-3, 15 points). Washington been able to stay afloat even with some of their talented players missing part of the season due to breaking COVID-19 protocol.
The good news for the Flyers is that they will have Sean Couturier back in the lineup.
Couturier hasn't played since game #2 when he suffered a costochondral separation on a rather casual hit.
